Welcome to the kingdom citizens blog!
In God’s sight we are all delicate flowers, potted in His purpose and showered in His Word, so that we may thrive in the light of His Son...
Jesus' parable of the sower compares His message about the kingdom to seeds that are intended to be sown in the hearts of mankind. The hearts of mankind are considered to be different kinds of soil. The evil one is referred to in tandem with the carnal mindedness of mankind, which prevents the soil from obtaining the seed. Let’s observe the different ways the enemy seeks to rob us of the Gospel, in order to keep us bound and infertile.
Matthew 13:18-23
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
We observe here one seed (the Gospel) engaging with four types of hearts. Consider that the seed the Lord is distributing is not corrupted. It is the hearts of mankind robbed by conflict with the evil one that prevents us from inheriting the Word of God that gives us life, and life more abundantly.
Parable of the Sower Explained
Beyond receiving or rejecting the Gospel of Christ, be mindful of what you allow to take root in your heart. Abuse, failure, manipulation, greed, power, foolishness, and so many other ailments lead to degradation of the soil of our hearts. The seed you receive into your soil is the seed you’ll cultivate. Likewise, the seed you reject is the seed you abort.
Seed along the path
The lack of understanding is a naked exposure laid bare to the elements
There’s intrigue but no relationship
There’s no depth or attachment for the seed to take root (no coverage)
Seed on rocky ground
Faith falling through the cracks
The lack of roots prevents the novelty of joy from transforming into the trust and security that comes with experience and intimate relationship
Trouble/persecution for the Gospels sake doesn’t appear worth the stay
Seed among the thorns
The seed is smothered and suffocated by life’s worries
The Gospel sounds good but the worries and ungodly schemes that appear to gain us sustainable wealth are thieves that steal our attention away from the Truth in exchange for false hopes of success and temporary fulfillment (see. Genesis 3:5)
You’re unable to become or remain fruitful when disconnected from the true Vine (John 15:1-17)
Seed on good soil
Soil enriched with the eternity mindset of Christ
Once the seed is successfully received and retained, the seed and the soil complement one another
This occurs when we listen, hear, understand, then implement the Word of God
The implementation of the Word leads into the ability to cultivate (to care for), produce (to manufacture, bring forth, bear fruit), yield (to multiply literally at least a hundredfold)
Parable of the Weeds
God is the King of the Universe and this world is His field. The gospel is His seed of Truth and prosperity. The farmer plants seeds in order to reap a harvest. Our cosmic Farmer, Yahweh, sows His Word and reaps a harvest in the form of sons and daughters; believers, who by way of Christ, become citizens in the kingdom of God.
Daughters of God especially, have a universal role to play by functioning as humanity’s natural receiver and dispenser. What you sow is what you’ll reap and what you allow to be sown in your soil is on you to appreciate or regret when it is cultivated, whether that is for the good or the bad. Learn to discern between the wheat and the weeds.
Here we witness the devil attempting to sabotage the Lord’s bed soil with leeching counterfeits. Designed to serve as a spiritually insulated stand-alone soil mix, the kingdom of God is ideal for creating the optimal environment for His seeds. The body of Christ is intended to be a community connected to the Vine of Christ, making us suitable for growth and gardening. Do not let the devil lead you into being weeded out from the Kingdom.
Parable of the Weeds Explained
Matthew 13:37-43
37 “He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, 39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels.
40 “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. 41 The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil. 42 They will throw them into the blazing furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
The Son of Man is the Sower
Good seed = the people of the kingdom (apprentices)
Weeds = the people of the evil one (counterfeit seed)
Enemy (evil sower) = the devil (counterfeit sower)
Harvest = the end of the age (dispensation)
Harvesters = angels
Will you allow your circumstance, attitude, outlook, lack of knowledge, and negative experiences keep you from producing wheat or will you become weeds? Weeds thrive anywhere and in many conditions. Sometimes weeds even look similar to flowers but they are at their heart, still weeds. Weeds, also called undergrowth, are plants that grow in areas where they are not wanted, such as fields, pastures, orchards, and gardens.
Why aren’t weeds desired? What’s so bad about weeds? Simply put, weeds are unwanted because they do not belong. They steal essential nutrients from the desired growth intentionally planted for beauty, medicinal purposes, and sustenance. And like flowers, women absorb the environment they’re in. By nature a woman receives what she engages with and chooses to either purify or become polarized (to divide into sharply opposing factions, political groups, etc.).
Queen, you're the Rose of Sharon
In concluding this blog series on a Woman in Crisis, remember that a woman who is properly potted in the Lord will be successfully seeded, flourishing in all God calls them to do. There are many distractions, disappointments, and disaster's in this life but God delivers us from them all (Psalm 34:19). Queen, you are called to be whole, fully nourished in the light and love of your Heavenly Gardener. He prunes you so that you may grow in Him, producing crops that multiply for His glory!
Too many women are broken, fragmented versions of their divinely appointed selves due to the invasion of weeds, pests, and contaminants. Is your garden safe for growth or has it become a growth? Classy or cancerous? Calm or crazy? Charitable or cruel? Clear-minded or clueless? Candid or corrupt? You choose. You do have a choice in the matter. Don’t allow the devil to deal you a hand you don’t reject because you don’t feel empowered in the moment.
What the devil doesn’t want you to realize is that you are not just fertile soil but the heir of the promise of the seed. You are a queen, the rose of Sharon, the glory of mankind, the diadem of humanity, beautiful and radiant, in power and majesty! Yes, you, my sister in Christ! Consider this. When a seed takes root, the soil around the seedling becomes entangled with it. A root system takes hold of the soil, digging deep for security while drawing in nutrients from and to the area around it.
Consider being so entangled with the Spirit of the Lord that nothing can strip you of the nutrients you need to thrive. When the soil and the seed work together, they become one as it becomes very difficult to uproot a plant without taking away clumps of the soil with it. In this way we should be plugged into Christ. Jeremiah 17:7-8 encourages us to believe in these potent words:
"Blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit".
Do you see yourself being this type of queen? Immovable, unshakable, impressive, and distinguished, worthy of your respect and honor. If you don’t, God says you should…God bless!

Scripture of Emphasis:
John 15:1-4 (NIV)
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me."
