The Woman in Crisis

Writer's picture: kingdomcitizensinckingdomcitizensinc

Welcome to the kingdom citizens blog!

Women are majestic amplifiers who as equals with men are co-rulers over creation...

The Biblical woman is one who effectively receives, absorbs, cultivates, and multiplies. A woman's feminine nature is a gift from God that should not be shunned or discarded. The woman is a beautifully powerful example of Christ’s body, the church. In this way, we as the bride of Christ, are washed in His Word for maturity, ministry, righteousness, and glory - the woman of God who receives should, by default, amplify what is given for the benefit of the kingdom.

As mankind is the glory of God, so is the wife the crowned splendor of her husband (1 Cor. 11:7). Unfortunately, many women have been negatively affected by this fallen world, struggling to maximize their potential in Christ as a result. The truth is that just like the deficient men out there, some women are considered to be of equally poor quality. Seemingly barren and out of sorts, these women are in crisis.

So what do you do when life has taken its toll on you? How do you respond to the daily battles that batter against the shudders of your soul? When emotions run high and the stress of it all leaves your physical health in shambles, who can you run to for relief? For some, when it rains it pours. For others, they suffer the uneasiness of incremental trials pushing them closer to the edge. What happens when your plate is full and your belly is bitter?

The Woman In Crisis

To suffer in vain

Everyday, there are multitudes of women globally who ask these questions. Some have been under the weather for so long that these questions have become rhetorical, with no apparent way out seen ahead. When the horizon at dawn looks like another dusk, we as believers know we can look to the Lord Who is Light, Love, and Liberty. Well, at least, the Bible tells us this is true but do we really believe it; and if we do, are we sure enough to put the Lord’s words into practice?

This is the conversation we must have with ourselves. If we’re being honest, how much faith do we truly have in the ways of the Lord? And if we’re being brutally honest, how much of our circumstances are the result of us not listening to God in the first place. Obedience is better than sacrifice, as 1 Samuel 15:22 states. But are the sacrifices we suffer through giving, due to a lack of obedience? To sacrifice senseless offerings leads us into suffering in vain.

For the woman in crisis, your poor quality of life may not be the result of sin. But could it be due to the lack of relationship with your Creator? By the way, can we blame our environment for the lack of nourishment provided to us? Who is to blame when we are seemingly starved of what we need by the community we dwell in? On the flip side of this pity party, are we able to hold ourselves accountable when we prefer to keep our mouths closed rather than consume the gift of the Gospel over the grave of wicked grapes?

divine retention

In God’s sight we are all delicate flowers, potted in His purpose and showered in His Word, so that we may thrive in the light of His Son. With God’s intention being that we flourish, how do we diagnose when we wither? It’s all in the soil. Let’s just say that your heart is a type of figurative soil. Could you say that your heart is suitable soil? Are you able to receive, understand, hold onto, and cultivate the Lord’s sustenance for you? Your overall quality of life depends on the answer to these important questions.

Retaining the Word of God concerning your heart's posture towards obedience in the Lord is key to cultivating a life that benefit's the body of Christ and glorifies our Heavenly Father. The power of the Holy Spirit dwells within all believers, granting us the grace to succeed in the will of the Lord. Men and women alike must remain fully submitted to Jesus Christ. When we are, the soil of our hearts can become rich in spiritual nutrients that turns a barren wilderness into a lush oasis.

In regards to women specifically, God created the female to be the receiver who amplifies. A fascinating and crucial duty this is to be blessed with. It's my opinion that women around the world are severely underrated and mistreated. It is God's divine will that men and women reign together as equals, perhaps differing in physical function but both awesome and necessary in their individual traits, naturally and spiritually.

Psalm 56:8, "God knows our troubles and our wanderings, stores all our tears in a bottle, has counted each one of them, and they are recorded in the Book.”
Your tears are not wasted sorrow

In the blog to come

In the next blog, we'll be discussing the parables of Jesus that use agricultural terminology to describe how the Gospel is dispersed amongst the hearts of mankind. In reviewing these parallels between a person's heart and good soil, we'll emphasize the woman's natural inclination to receive, absorb, cultivate, multiply, and enhance. Women are fascinating imagers of God who, like soil, have a highly sensitive spiritual PH balance that must be maintained for maximal efficiency.

Scripture of Emphasis:

Psalm 56:8

“God knows our troubles and our wanderings, stores all our tears in a bottle, has counted each one of them, and they are recorded in the Book.”
